So for resetting the overhead garage door to bring it to normal position once again, the door opener is required to reset. Doing this is very simple. There are certain instructions which are to be followed for resetting the door’s remote and then it works normal. The first step which is to be done is replacing the battery in time and keeping the sensors clean. By doing these maintenance one can avoid a huge expense.
- If at times the remote does not respond then one must become conform that the problem lies in the battery and so the battery is to be changed. It is advised to use 9 volt battery. Sometimes the battery is new but still the remote does not work then the electrical outlet is to be removed for a while and then it is to be plugged again.
- The eyes of the sensor of the remote and the door opener must be cleaned with a dry cloth frequently.
- Then the ‘learn’ button which is mounted on the wall unit is pressed for a while until the light stops blinking. Doing this erases all the previous codes from the transmitter of the door opener.
- By continuously pressing the ‘Learn’ button each door opener remote is reset. The red LED light flashes for 30 seconds and in this time the button in the remote is pressed several times until the door starts moving.
